Amazon Prime Video to Stream Fallout Series in 2024

The Fallout TV series, which Amazon has been working on, will finally debut on Prime Video in 2024. This announcement comes more than three years after the company initially revealed its plans to adapt the popular franchise with the creators of Westworld. A teaser of the upcoming series was presented by Bethesda’s Todd Howard and Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer at Gamescom’s Xbox booth, leaving fans eager to see whether it will be a success or a disappointment.

The short clip reportedly features a nuclear explosion near a city resembling Los Angeles, characters crossing a desert, and a woman emerging from one of Fallout’s vaults. And as you can see above, Prime Video shared an image that confirmed LA as the site of Vault 33. In October of last year, Amazon’s Prime Video X account posted a photo of the characters wearing Vault 33 costumes, and before that, a few behind. pictures from Vault 32 leaked online.

When the series was first announced, Bethesda said it had been looking at ways to adapt the Fallout games into a movie or TV show for the past decade. The adaptation it eventually accepted, written and developed by Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan, takes on a “serious and gritty” tone, but also includes “ironic humor” and “core B-movie fantasy”.
